Spalding County is updating its Comprehensive Plan for long-term growth, and we need your help!

The Spalding County Comprehensive Plan Update will result in an updated, community-driven roadmap for the county’s future growth and development. The planning process includes the Cities of Sunny Side and Orchard Hill and close coordination with the City of Griffin, which has its own Comprehensive Plan. Throughout 2022, we’ll be working with a diverse, hand-selected team from across our community to revise the Spalding County Comprehensive Plan.

What is the Comprehensive Plan? It’s a plan that plays a critical role in the day-to-day decisions and long-term quality of life in Spalding. It guides the county’s rezoning and informs decisions related to infrastructure, private development, and other county investments. The Comprehensive Plan is updated every five years.
